I just looked out the window. It's 4:19pm, and the streetlights are already on, and we're well into dusk. I am getting temporally messed up by it getting dark so early.
When I lived in Utah, I was on the western edge of the time zone. The next one was 120 miles away. The other end was 550 miles away. Now I'm in New York, which is a little east of center for the time zone. That sliding around can make a big difference.
