I watched The First Easter Rabbit by Rankin/Bass yesterday with friends. I thought the art style was very cute but the plot was really weird. It sets up so much stuff and then does nothing with it, and then it abruptly ends???

It's so weird that it starts out by speedrunning The Velveteen Rabbit and switching to something else completely unrelated, though I can appreciate doing something weird like that.
It also sets things up like the three other rabbits Stuffy meets (who have excellent designs by the way) are going to lead him astray or something, and then they do nothing. They get told to try giving a gift themselves as a change-of-heart thing and then that's never explored?
