@puppy isn't it on psvr now too
@Violet its tiltbrush that psvr is getting iirc?
@Violet never mind no its not, thats coolpaintr
@Violet ok apparently a potential reason for earth vr not being on psvr is because psvr only allows for a small amount of space to be cached (1gb) for apps, and g earth needs way more than that ? or something
here have screenshot
@puppy they can very easily get around that if they stream the data
@Violet probably not the best solution to take
@Violet cos thats A LOT of data to stream in one go and equally it would probably mean awkward load times in between teleports
@puppy Google Earth is also on cardboard/daydream if I recall
@Violet nope. only oculus and vive
@puppy I remember using it with cardboard years ago
@Violet that was a version of street view that was just looking around 360 photos, not flying about a fully rendered 3d environment
@puppy it was Google Earth, it's baked into the cardboard app
@puppy there's a video of some person using it here https://youtu.be/EOwwgR6zQy0
@Violet hmmm. i cant imagine it being very good
@puppy it worked great on my phone, this was my first introduction to VR too
@puppy it most certainly wasn't as laggy as this guy's video of it
@Violet mind u, course i wont think it sounds v good, i didnt like cardboard at all
@Violet cardboard made me violently ill from motion sickness. its not great :x
@puppy what phone did you try it with? My note 4 was a flagship VR device around the time cardboard came out
@Violet cant remember. i think both marks phone and my own.
i dont think the problem was lag though. its just not good vr in general
@puppy it was very good for it's time tbh. The oculus I tried at EGX afterwards made me feel more sick than cardboard
@Violet psvr so far remains as the best vr ive used personally
tracking issues aside its. just better, and has more games that interest me
@puppy well, not necessarily sick, just dizzy
@Violet not afaik. its def. on vive tho
