Jackbox 7 game opinions
Anyway there's my opinions on each of the games, It's another pretty solid pack imho, but I'm not a huge fan of how many of the games require high energy/motivation (although that's to be expected from jackbox in general, they're party games). I can see myself coming back to this one a lot more often, probably for talking points. hey if nova demoparty is happening next year we need to do a jackbox game of talking points
Jackbox 7 game opinions; Blather ‘Round
As many people have already described this one, it's basically pictionary/charades but with only vague words/sentences. I had a lot of fun with this one, and it really shines if you're good at trivia answers. This is my second favourite game in the pack and I'd like to play this one more often.
Jackbox 7 game opinions; Talking Points
My favorite game of the pack, i'm just hoping this one doesn't run dry on content (although it probably will if you play it too much), so i'm probably going to space out how much I play this one to keep it enjoyable. The biggest laughs have come from this one since you literally have to do an improv talk over a slideshow presentation where you have no idea what's going to come next. Kinda reminds me of doing Patently Stupid talks, it's silly fun.
Jackbox 7 game opinions; Champ’d Up
Pretty much Tee K.O but with actual prompts for what you could be drawing, I can definitely see who this game appeals to but I didn't have too much fun with it myself, and it seems at least one of the groups I played it with really had a bias towards the person who did the better quality drawing winning, so 🤷♀️ I'm not really too much of a fan of this one, probably varies depending on who you play with, but I don't really dig the drawing ones like this too much.
Jackbox 7 game opinions; The Devils and the Details
The Devils and the Details: This one is just stressful and I didn't enjoy it in any of the groups I played it with. A game that requires clear verbal communication over an online call (discord, of all things) really doesn't work, because if nobody can hear you (and this is a clear issue with online voice calls in the first place) you're just not going to do well. This game would maybe work better in smaller groups, but idk. I didn't enjoy it.
Jackbox 7 game opinions; Quiplash 3
Quiplash 3: it's a more polished version of Quiplash, i guess. Not really much else I can say about this one other than I preferred how the final round in Quiplash 2 was executed, would've been fun to have seen them adapt more final rounds rather than just do a regular prompt with three answers.
Jackbox 7 game opinions
So hey, i've been playing the Jackbox 7 games for a couple weeks now both on the official Jackbox Twitch and with others who also have had early access to it (including a group who played it last night), which has been a mixed bag, but it's enough for me to form an opinion on what I think of each of the games, so here goes.
I'll probably write a couple toots about what I think about the games tomorrow, i've had a few opportunities to play them in the past month, and also watched other people play them too so I think that's enough to give my impressions
anyway, talking points is still basically powerpoint karaoke and it is the perfect game in the party pack 7 because i love presenting things and powerpoint karaoke is just hilarious in the first place
considering humour is always a strong factor of what makes the jackbox games what they are, the ones that really make you think about what you need to do to have it executed well really just don't play along well with me and they're just not as fun. I do enjoy watching other people play those games though.
the other games really vastly depend on the group of people you play with and honestly those are always my least favorites in the packs because of that
