honestly even running kde on our laptop, ubports might be the better choice for mobile

kde mobile is a lot like old android, in that it's really not that interesting other than running on QT

of course time may allow it to be better, but kde mobile is in the very early stages of development, while ubports is many years in dev and actually has unique user interaction mechanisms

heh, headphones and mic aren't working yet either

oh well, we can wait, but we might want to get the hardware rev anyway, both to promote development and to actually have a device in our hands

pranking friends (in acceptable and non-damaging ways) is not a big deal

but pranking multiple hundreds of thousands of people at once? there's no possible way to make the joke acceptable and non-damaging to every last one of them (unless there are relevant content warnings, one of which should be "april fools")

probably more than is strictly necessary, but we have had so many problems with previous years, and this year being tame in comparison doesn't really improve our outlook
