Life as a kid was delightfully superficial, you'd flit from enthusiasm to enthusiasm, yoyos, skateboards, Spangles, ice lollies, conkers, ping-pong, the Beano, plushies, Matchbox Superfast, Airfix kits, all light and ephemeral stuff then one day you walk into a room with a Commodore PET and in a single instant it's BAM THIS IS YOUR LIFE FOREVER and so it is.

@llamasoft_ox For me that happened when I was 7 and it was a Commodore 64. It was 1992. Everyone else had already forgotten about it, but I still love that little magic box to this day. Plushies too.
