I decided that my little #Atari-like #ShootEmUp game could use more interesting mechanics.
I decided to first play some #IndieGames in the #Shmup genre for inspiration. :) I never actually played any shoot-em-up #games before.

These past few days, I played the beautiful #HyperEchelon by Markus Jost and Raymond Schlitter. I'm still bad at it, but it's super fun on #SteamDeck!

I'll finish my little #PICO8 shmup ASAP and then switch to #Godot for a "sequel" with everything I learned.

I know I'm late to the party, but I finally got a chance to play #balatro. It's a really well done deck building #roguelike, that is based on the rules of #poker. The graphics, music and gameplay are top notch, and it's impressive that it all fits in a very small download.

I'm still learning all the rules and effects, but I could easily see myself spending lot of hours on this one. #steamdeck #linuxgaming

FYI, if you enter the Konami code on your games library screen in #GOG - you'll unlock a hidden screen with two games built-in. I spent a fair while playing this on my #SteamDeck while it was in the dock over the last couple of days!

I think this is beyond common knowledge, but for those who missed this, you can play #Pong and Snake from inside your browser!
