Suburban Death March – “Elon Musk Is a Nazi Nepo Baby”

Delightful throwback track that puts a spoken word sample of the title over a squiggly electronic backing that recollects the acid house and EBM of the late ‘80s.

"You could argue that while the 303 failed at imitating an actual bass guitar, it gave us something much better instead. A truly new and unique sound that was so characteristic that it shaped entire music genres for decades to come."

@REEL the eclectic nature of this compilation meant that I looked at it a lot in shops - obviously the cover was a touchstone with all the psychedelic music I liked, and I wanted to know more about #acidhouse - but it was too diverse for me. I know that is the point of #balearic music but with my precious pennies at stake it was too much of a risk. I ended up being a DJ both for techno & also ambient so it did me no harm, but I wonder how different things might have been had I had a spare £3?

Oh yea, it's Tune Tuesday! @Kitty's Tuesday hashtag has a theme of More Fizzle Than Bang from @sharazluke - artists you expected to go further than they ended up going.

I'm going with A3 or Alabama 3, as they were originally known. Their track "Woke Up This Morning" was everywhere for a while as the theme song for The Sopranos. song.link/us/i/1442814459

Their debut album, "Exile on Coldharbour Lane" had such a wild mix of blues, acid house, country, and gospel that just HIT so well in my opinion. If you've never heard their 1997 album, check it out. album.link/us/i/1442814433

It is all over the place in some of the best possible ways.
